Exterior painting on the coast
Salt, sun and humidity are hard on paint. Washing first, good prep and coastal-rated coatings are what make an exterior job last.
Water-stained ceilings
After a roof leak is fixed and the area is dry, a stain-blocking primer keeps the stain from bleeding through the new paint.
After the storm: Paint over a water stain without sealing it and the stain bleeds back through. Fix the leak first, let it dry, then prime with a stain-blocker and paint.
FAQ
Exterior & Interior Painting questions.
Should the house be pressure washed before painting?
Yes. Paint won't stick to mildew and salt film. Our own crew can wash it first.
Do painters need a state license in Florida?
No state license is required for painting in Florida, though some cities require local registration. Always ask for proof of insurance.
How long does exterior paint last here?
Usually several years, less in direct salt spray. Prep and the right coating make the biggest difference.
Can you paint fences and decks?
Yes, paint or stain.
